Today, Boy Scouts from Troop 270 of Newtown CT learned how to prevent crime and keep our neighborhoods safe. The scouts worked on the Crime Prevention Merit Badge with help from Sergeant Chapman of the Newtown Police Department and Leon Demers of Troop 270. During their visit to the Newtown Police Department, they visited the command center and were able to try on some tactical gear. Congratulations to our scouts on a job well done, and special thanks to Officer Chapman and the Newtown PD for supporting Troop 270!
